I wouldn't expect to be disapointed if I ordered a Cooper S "R55/Estate/Clubman/Traveller/Whatever they decide to market it as....." to be honest.

I'll see what the weekend has in store, first
(The postman just delivered my receipt for The Lightweight deposit, confirming I'm second in line, if I go ahead with that. Meanwhile, I've got the HB/W standard 'S' to experience.
Ordering a third model would seem a trifle....er...extravagant!)

Thanks for sharing, Paul. Not mind-bogling figures, are they? It's still the quickets one you can buy off the shelf, though. So.... Will be fascinated by the views which will now immediately pop up on this thread.....

oh dear. So it's a collection of JCW parts and no back seat then. Sure it looks great, but it could/should have been so much more...

Unless this weekend brings something truly special, I'll be asking for my deposit back

Just ditching the seats and the stereo accounts for half of that. So I wouldn't expect many trick panels... I can hear the pencils being sharpened as the critics go to work: just getting rid of the old stock JCW kits, really, they'll be saying. You can see why they're not calling it Lightweight, though.

It's a reasonable amount, but Renault lopped 90-odd kilos off the 172 for the Cup version, and made it cheaper to boot...

Anyone know how much the back seats weigh? might give us a clue as to what else they've stripped out.

I must admit I was expecting a little more power, and quite a bit more weight loss. However, you'd certainly feel it, and it also depends where and how they've lost the weight, and what other things are changed.

You can save twice that by leaving your mother in law to walk. I think the back seats account for c 36 pounds (if you look at the Back Seat Delete kit advertised on NAM)

Price certainly comes into the equation, now, ie how will the price of this compare with a similarly specced JCW MCS with aerokit? You also have to factor in the rarity value, too, if that's important to you, I suppose....
