would imagine there would only be a few colours available in the first place such as maybe HB, PW, CR, BRG and some sort of black but i dunno maybe even less.
it wouldnt suprise me if they do have some sort of special colour too but pauls the one in the know not me
If they offer it like the M3 CSL then that came in 2 colours only, black and grey. Not exactly exciting but went down quite well.
Not sure that demand will be that hot in the end. Bmw actually struggled a bit with the last of the CSL's and cut production. Added to that residuals went through the floor although these have now stablised. It is an awesome machine and looks very attractive second hand at just £40,000 for a year old beast with low miles.
I've been told that dealers can place orders with head office now, so it might be worth asking them if they can firm things up a little more if you really want to.
I just phoned back to check - they will happily take a deposit for this car (or for the new new models) but they don't have any information on the specification, price etc
Or maybe they do have information and they are don't allowed to tell
How many cars do you read about in magazines and you think..wow....that'll be such a cool car? Loads. And how many never come to fruit. Loads. You've still enjoyed reading about them though right?
That's my take on it. If it comes.....great. If it doesn't neh......I'll get over it.
Exactly, I had a confirmed order for one such vehicle, the now infamous HRT427, all I have to show is the paperwork & correspondence ect.,
Would have been nice, but life goes on.
The main reason this project didn't happen was they were offering 2 options, road or track, hoping the balance was to be 25%road-75%track, but as it turned out nearly every order, inc mine was for the road spec, making the whole program uneconomical to produce.
One positive is this has only one model, at least I haven't been given any choices, so you would assume the numbers have been done, providing there are sufficient orders.
I also have had an order on this car too, so lets hope it happens for all those interested.
