Color code the arches. Fog/Driving lights (unless (please MINI, are you listening) Xenons come along. I'm liking the Angel Eyes... but don't see where I can mount them, yet.

And that's pretty much it.

I recon it'll cost about £500 all in.

What would you modify?

Do make sure you let us know where you are getting the parts if you can do it for £500 Mo

Bumper £485
Side Skirts £340
Dash????

At the moment I'm considering.........
  • Carbon fibre wing mirrors
  • Carbon fibre petrol cap
  • Carbon fibre boot handle
  • Halo front sidelights
Not quite sure about this one yet. I've been mulling over the idea of using the storage compartments for some kind of ICE install that could be covered up and hidden by the Z cover when not in use.

But surely part of the fun of having a GP is the exclusivity, so why change anything?

How exclusive the GP is going to be is difficult for me to judge.

I think that the Silk Green Cooper with Emerald Green leather seats was a much more exclusive vehicle. MINIs tend to be very individual cars, and owners make them more so. To the best of my knowledge, I have the only CR/Swamp Holly Orange S with 15" wheels in the US.

The decision to purchase the GP was based on value for the money more than the exclusivity factor. Once I researched the Monterey trip, that was the decision point.

I would add Xenons and a rear washer. And I would be missing my sunroof, and the rain sensor, and all the nice things I have in my current MINI. I think it's better (and a lot cheaper) to just keep mine...

still waiting.. for a better time

Where should I start! First thing that has to go are the runflats. In the US I have not been able to find Goodyear F1's in 215/35/18 so I will probably go with Pirelli P-Zero's. For brake up-grade I will put on the rear metal caliper bushings, stainless steel brake lines and some good fluid. After seeing how the suspension is I would possibly consider M7 USS and Web Extreme rear sway bar. Possibly even the front strut brace for a little under hood bling. An Alta SS kit with a Whalen would also be nice. Then after a good break in and a little warranty time to be sure all is good I would bring the HP to where it should be. Possibly MTH header, special tuning file, and a 3% lightweight crank pulley. That is pretty much my dreams with little odds and ends in the interior and also color coding the Arch's. For my needs it should be a great handling street car [with some track use thrown in] and be quick enough.

1. I'd change the styling to the Aero kit and bin that chav halfords spoiler.
2. Xenons
3. Ditch the run flats
4. JCW motorsport manifold

Well, for me it would be....

Target 240bhp output, done as discreetly as possible.... should be quiet easily done.

330mm Brembos up front, 310mm brembos at the rear..... (both red calipers matching)

Lighttweight Alloys, undecided which ones yet..... probably black with a red detail like phpto below....

Carbon fibre replacement hood/bonnet.....

Proper racing mirrors (the tiny F1 style ones, in red)....

Sports manifold.... for MORE noise

Minor amendments to the exterior plastic trims - trying to make them look 'finished and coherant'

JCW motorsport front brake air ducts connected to the currently fake air intakes in front bumper

Side windows tinted to same level as rears (illegal but who cares...?)

I'd also like a rear underbody defuser built into the rear bumper, like the Lotus Elise has, but have yet to see a company offer anything worth having....
