a designer ? ................

indirectly contributed to the spoiler and wheels on the GP

SALVADOR DALI

Born in Figueres in 1904. Salvador Dali's close friendship with the famous designers Alec Issigonis & the then young Frank Stephenson, a leading light of 1930s Paris, led to several joint projects, including the production of cars. The Catalan painter's creations included a series of very original pieces , such as the outdoor furniture for a Rolls Royce in Port Lligat, but he also designed more mundane items, such as door handles, pedal rubbers and dipsticks.

PMSL. Makes you wonder about who else he might be related to...

Think about those cutlines, seemingly draped across the cars like a clock melting across the back of a chair. The mark of a demented zorro, enfleshed in steel, aluminum & rubber.

Front License Plate Bracket

Anybody talk to their dealer about keeping MINI from mounting the front license plate bracket on the GP before we receive it in Monterey?

Haven't mentioned it yet, but have already bought the clip on plate holder.

Either say something now...or make a trip to www.bumperplugs.com to fill the screw holes they'll drill to mount the bracket..............

BTW, what "clip on bracket"? None of the "fleet" has a front plate.

If you look in the group buy forum, MINIAC organized a group buy a while back. The link is still in the thread.

Not a clip on, screws into the tow hook hole. I hope it will look ok on the GP, but it will be good enough to get the car home. I would really be surprised at a MINI person screwing something to the front of your car without asking you first.

Remember, the deal is not consumated until the car is accepted and driven. California for sure, don't know about the rest.

No front plates required in Kansas although I'll probably be adding a custom Euro plate like on my 03 MCS so if there's a holder there that's fine with me.

Great! I thought for a while there that Monterey was going to be a lonely place.
