Hello everybody! I'm new here. I'm from Holland were we get just 20 of the 2000 GP kit models. Offcourse I was to late with ordering one, because I was on vacation. So now i'm searching for one in foreign countries. I found one in Germany a couple of days ago! The future owner has some medical problems with his back, so he is not sure if he buys it! I hope he doesn't take it!! Because I want one!! Congratulations to everybody who bought one!!! (p.s. Sorry, my english is not really terrific!) Let's burn some serious rubber! 2007 MINI Cooper S (Lightning Blue), what a great little car!

I think the Mirror review said the only cars left available were in Japan? That sounds like a cancellation - Later orders seem to be getting September deliveries. Its either that or you got one of the 15 additional cars sourced for the UK. (Or its the one available on Ebay at the moment....) Nice one! Any idea what number you are getting?

Hi, don't think it's a cancellation - think it was destined to be their demonstrator but presumably targets need to be met so happy days for me. Think the number is 1346 but to be honest I was in such a rush to confirm the order that I missed some of the details offered. Was told that all are built and delivery will occur right after the first lucky owner receives theirs at the motor show next month. Hope it's quick as I just sold my RS4 today in anticipation.

Tony Hi Thanks for your reply and for a solution that does seem logical and easy to perform. Now, onwards, long run, what kind of protection should i go for? and do you think all those companies that have those sets that match the S or normal Cooper will actualy go out of their way to come up with one just for 2000 units? just wondering what you and others are going to do. I 100% want to address this though. thank you Lorien

Hi Lorien, I would use one of those companies that advertise in the back of the Top Gear style mags - cant remember their names, but you know, with the protective see through film. Good point about the "masks" that they use, but the most important piece to protect long term is the bonnet, which is the same standard shape. So they only have to do the front bumper from scratch. You might even get a deal off them if its the first car - then they can advertise that the car is supported. They are expensive, but well worth it. Its always painfull when you get your first stone chip. If its a car you really treasure and want to keep long term, then its worth the investment. You have to do it when the car is new though.... otherwise, all you have is regrets and chips.
