@paul

thanx for your incredible article - well done
what about those us-sidelights (orange) - were they really 'on' when you had the headlights turned on or are they just sort of "reflectors" without any function?

I didn't pay any attention to the sidelights, forgot to check them to be honest. They don't appear to be lit in the photographs though.

I've heard of some issues with cars with smaller pullies having issues with belt slippage due to having no load on the idler pulley - I was wondering if they'd changed anything with regard to this, as the GP is aimed as more of a track car.

Fantastic article Paul, very down to earth with some honest thoughts and opinions, Thank you! Also thanks for taking the time to answer my question about the radio/speakers.

Good to know that the rear window problem may not be as bad as first thought. Would like to see this in practice though before I am totally convinced....

It's not really, opinion seemed to be they think maybe 10% of owners will track their GPs!

"An appropriate choice of location given the fact that the car is completed at Bertone,"

Paul - do you know exactly what part of the production is done in Bertone?

thanks and lovely report!

No, the regular press shots (already in the gallery and used in previous reports) are all that were provided, and just as good if not better in terms of quality and detail as I could provide.

The cars are sent "body in white" (undercoat applied and "hard" body mostly completed) and they bolt together the rest of the car there. The main reason for chosing Bertone was apparently the fact they've used them before, and there simply isn't capacity at Oxford just now.

Did they let you look at the mechanical gubbins at all?

I seem to remember rumours of a different intercooler, but they changes in the suspension sound intereting too.
