went to the dealers today to see mine. its was in the showroom and looked stunning i sat in the recaro seat and it took me back in time to my ford RS days .

a few things i didn't like was the roof number (ONLY FITTED ON DRIVERS SIDE ) looked cheap and nasty . the dash number looked like my 2 year son had stuck it on. the rear boot handle (black plastic) should be carbon fibre like the roof spoiler .
started it up,didn't sound any different from the works i have now .

so to sum it up, i don't know what all the fuss was about

its just another mini

but saying that i haven't driven it yet

let you know next week

Love the review from Jimskater, sounds like you are all loving the car except Aston! But he's Welsh so one can only expect a different perspective from him and he only keeps cars for 6 months max anyway!

The GP is the only mini I'd swap mine for - its a winner!

Blimey your brave letting them put your new car in the showroom.

Have you ever seen kids let loose in a car showroom.

The salesmen nearly had a heart attack when we took our rabble into the Porsche garage.

Just wait until the 2nd generation diesel comes out. I'm sure you'll be able to pick up a cheap GP from a certain someone.

Personally i'm still trying to get over the "stop, start, stop start" plastic trim

But as a drivers car i'm sure it won't have many faults; Using the works I test drove as a yard stick.
