Smile Few days left....

Jim - lovely review. can't wait to witness the same. Just a few days left for me.

Flying out from Rome on Monday. Spending the night in Stuttgart, and 9am Tuesday morning, my wife, my brother (who is coming in from Berlin) and myself are all going to get GP 01986 Then a 500km drive to Italy, to spend the night close to the border, and then Wednesday morning another 500km heading home to Spoleto. Really excited

now all I need to do is make sure I keep it under 4500 rpm during the drive back home.. won't be easy.

started it up,didn't sound any different from the works i have now .

so to sum it up, i don't know what all the fuss was about

its just another mini

but saying that i haven't driven it yet

let you know next week

I'll be interested to hear what you think, and how you compare it to using a normal JCW, as those were my thoughts, is there enough of a difference to warrant a change to the GP

Three passengers & 1,000 km in a two seat car? I hope you're making your brother ride in the boot.

By the time you get home, you'll understand what all the fuss is about.

Yes, there is. I put 180 or so miles on an loaner 06 JCW last fall--in one day. The GP is at least a notch or two above that.

Plus, I managed not to stall the loaner or my new one, so you can trust me.

Im thinking of a drive up into Wales and then towards the end of the year a weekend in Scotland. Just want to hear what it sounds like in the valleys........

Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team.....

Just cleared 950 miles in less than a week from pick up and the GP is totally fantastic. The war dept drove it yesterday for the first time and was very impressed with it. Described as much nippier and smoothy than the MCS!

I'm picking mine up on Friday.....from what has been said I won't be disappointed!!

This thread has me acting like a schoolboy again, that was a very long time ago!

I certainly can't remember getting this excited about any Porsche I had. I grew out of those anyway!

If it hadn't been for the house move I wouldn't have waited either!

Tap the accelerator for me in the meantime
