We had some mad wet weather during MTTS ...

One time, GPMINI aquaplaned when I changed lanes - lots of water collecting between the dryer lines in each lane I guess. But that was the only "gulp" moment. Otherwise, grip was fine - although I totally disagree with the rear visibility claims; it's hopeless to use anything except mirrors once the road is wet ...

Yikes......aquaplaning? That takes me back to my Porsche days, is this something we will all have to watch for on the GP or were you pushing it just a little too much?

We were probably still driving 65 - but keeping up with traffic ... and the effect was just momentary as I crossed the lane divider I felt the steering get very light, just long enough to make me worry.
George, travelling with me in another GP, had no issue so it might have been a particularly wet patch that I crossed but he didn't.

If you put your rear demisters on that would have cleared up.

From my experiences US roads tend not to disperse water as well as UK roads. The water tends to sit.

Perhaps the tyres were a little 'new'?

I have experienced some 'tramlining' under braking on poorer road surfaces. This is a bit disconcerting when one hand is occupied on gear changing duties.

United-States 4,000 awesome miles

This car is incredibly fast and responsive. It changed personality a bit after 1,500 miles and now it is nicely broken in. There are few cars that I could stand driving as many miles in as short a time as my GP.

Got nearly 1900 miles on now nicely loosened up. Have to agree not as bad as i was expecting when the roads are wet on the rear screen, the rear demister does do a lot to help. Also found when doing a quick exit from side roads that DSC is better off and just use the LSD to fly, and get those front tyres chirping on change up!

Love the experience more and more. Not had any aqua planing moments yet and i have driven thru some heavy rain. Can't comment on the headlights, have not been out on the dark very much yet, but i imagine i will be disappointed compared to the xenons on my S.

All in all though a very good package and no way will you see mine for sale anywhere!

Also seems more economical than my s as well!

zenons

No doubt the Zenons would be a nice upgrade. Not sure I want to monkey with the car just yet.

Congratulations.....it only gets better.......no really!!

Was anyone out in that 'tropical' downpour in South Hampshire this morning? Flooded roads and all?

Will report my experience a little later!
