So how specced up can you get a standard works for £22K !

I don't understand this expense issue that keeps popping up.

I was thinking exactly the same; but didn't comment as this "expense"/"overpriced" thing seems to be constantly recurring, so I'm bored of replying.

The only extras I miss for my 22K are an alarm and xenons !! otherwise 22K is a steal!!! either that or these other 'standard works' ' cant have many options ticked.

Looks that way.
When I got mine there was an issue with fitting the spots as dealer had no codes from BMW to 'switch them on'. After much phone and e-mail by he dealer, BMW Germany released a pre code for the dealer to use 'at there own risk' and as far as I know dealers do not yet have the software for the GP.

It happens every launch of a new car. They can only fix faults when they appear and it then takes time for a fix to filter down to the dealers.

But this isn't a new car, it's an MCS JCW that has, basically, been around for years!

It has a different ECU programme to a regular JCW though.

I thought I would bring this to the top again as I have some pictures of the under bonnet rubbing problems!

As you can see I haven't cleaned it up yet!

Pic 1 & 2, JCW badging

Pic 3 The crude modding under the scoop done at the factory which obviously wasn't enough as you can clearly see the lining wearing through!

These kit cars eh?

Similar on 1657 with 2880 miles
Works badge has only slight discolouration
No wear on bonnet padding
Same rub / wear marks and in the same place on intercooler cover
Same crude modification with a dremil type tool to underside of bonnet scoop - looks like there is no more plastic to grind off without it falling apart.

They are all like it sir !!!!, is what I have been told !!!!

The evidence so far would indicate that they are, but that hardly makes it O.K, does it?

I never said it was OK - but at the moment no one wants to do anything about it.
How many other people have the same problem?
Any advice on how to get people to take action??
