Seeing these pics of people picking up and driving there cars is killing me! My GP arrived at the dealers yesterday, went and had a look and now can't wait to pick it up. I am supposed to be waiting for the new 56 reg but i think i will have to pick it up earlier.
I've figured out multiquote, thats a handy tool Its a T shirt, I now want the same in black
As for the car, I cannot say I'm impressed because that won't convey just how good it really feels. I've just been around the local roads with a Works 'S' owning driver, and he was raving about the flat cornering of it, the suspension is something else even on rough surfaced roads. It gets a little bit jiggly due to the lightweight , big rims and rubber band tires, but it never feels out of shape or uncomposed. Steering is precise just like any other MINI, the engine revs easily up to 4k , I stop there for a while, and its very quick from 30-60 or 50 to 70 for example. Gearbox is perfectly set up for the revised power band so far. A bit of tyre noise from the rear due to less insulation and seats being missing, but I don't think it will worry anyone. Fit and finish of parts and paint is all it should be, the whole package is a credit to the marque and I'm thrilled to be able to drive it. The interior dial treatment at night is fabulous, more red than orange Seats are grippy, firm and comfy. Just one happy bunny here
I forgot the absence of a rear wiper, well it rained here this morning and I went puddle splashing to see what happened. I'm surprised how clean the back end is considering, noticeably cleaner than an 'S' which I know was cleaned on Saturday and had not been driven much since then apart form a similar mileage trip to work this morning.
Its a great shirt Ian, any more available ? In Black ?
I am , I am , I am

Cautionary note, the front bumper has quite a low clearance out towards the corners of the car, watch out for speed bumps and kerbstones. I have spotted it in time, but its probably lower in these areas bu maybe 2 inches than a standard S bumper

Reason: added rear wiper comment
The paint shop appears to have taken more care with masking the line for the white roof. Very neatly done, not at all the way the standard Oxford paint shop applies masking tape.
