I'm not too surprised. The person who told us they would do an outdoor cover was the same person that told us the GPs are pre-wired for the alarm

Found these pics of the cover

I phoned my mini dealer and qouted the above part number. They said that part number doesn't exist and there are no car covers available for the Mini GP. Does that mean I can only get one from the USA? If so, any idea how I can go about this?

It is the indoor cover - there's no outdoor cover.
I'm surprised if non-USA dealerships can't get it ... you'd expect it to be available in all places that the GP is sold.

Either my parts department don't want to have a GP cover or it's not coming to the UK. Why not make it available on both sides of the pond!

Any USA mini2 user interesting in shipping these over to the UK? In exchange for HRM's Sterling Currency ofcourse! :-P

I can certainly help with shipping the cover, if you can't get it - beware of customs charging you when it arrives though!

I still need to head back to England to visit family - maybe I'll have to bring a few covers with me

Hey you could always declare the cover as a 'gift' and value of $50 or so dollars.
Won't get the custom duty stuck on, then u will get state tax from whichever state it's bought from though.

Can't risk declaring the item wrongly - I ship MINI circuits overseas and I don't need to draw any bad attention to me!

Stuff shipped to me from overseas has never been taxed; seems USA is much less aggressive about it than other countries (good for me!)
