GP jcw manifold - MINI Cooper Forum

I want to fit a jcw manifold to my GP. has any body done this. if so is it any louder .does it pull any better. and i want to fit the gtt air filter to my jcw air box any body ?

is the GP manifold the same as the one in the John Cooper 225 HPD kit??

is it any louder in the car. is it better off the throttle at 2000 rpm just it seems to have a flat spot ?

venox: why did you change from the GTT manifold to the JCM manifold...and what differences did you find?!

the JCW manifold is a bit louder i find, after the ecu adapted to the manifold performance was pretty similar i thought.

Only reason i changed was i got the 225 HPD kit!!

yep a std one ,if the jcw manifold does not make much difference i will not bother. i considered gtt manifold but i don't no how much noisier it will be in the car even with the jcw exhaust on.?

what standard crappy manifold?? thats pants!!

Oh its def worth it, both the GTT and JCM one are both worth 10bhp and it makes it doesnt make it alot louder, just right imo.

I prefer the design layout of the JCM one over the GTT as the cat is in the centre pipe! Make your GP as it should be, fit the JCM manidold

venox: tempted to keep my car all JCW by getting the JCM manifold...but how much louder is it than the GTT, any more droning while cruising, and how does the sound differ?

its a tad more noisey, but its a different type of sound more of a race car sound if you like. It pops and back fires more than the GTT

I was thinking all the same things before i got mine, now i dont what i was fussed about!!

How much is it compared to the GTT?!

And how is droning on the motorway, compared to the GTT? Cheers mate
