Currently 15 Works GP's on....

sale on Autotrader in the UK. Thats much more than I thought there would be.....

15 for sale in the same week, in just one publication (and thats on-line, the magazine may well have more)

All above list price too.....

The thing is, i would have though all buyers in the UK would have been Mini enthusiasts..... as it had to be pre-orderred....

Is this simply 'cashing in', or are people finding that it doesnt meet their expectations or is perhaps hard to live with....???

Would love to know.

Opinions? Any one at all let down or dissapointed by the car? I haven't heard a single owner say they are dissapointed, which is odd, as all cars (even ferrari/porsche etc) get some owners that just dont 'gell' with their new purchases....

Cashing in for the vast majority no doubt. There will always be exceptions of course but the media keep hyping this car up so people think they can make a quick buck.

I'm sure I read that Aston was getting rid of his as he didn't get on with it.

I'm suprised so many are being sold though, are people really paying over book for them?

Advertising something at a price and actually securing a price are too different things altogether.....

It could be half way between; someone has bought the car in all good faith, but find that they don't like it as much as they had hoped for. For a short while, they have the opportunity to sell it for what they paid for it with a bit more on top. This situation is unlikely to last for long.

What would you do in the circumstances?

Tigger.

My guess is it's mostly speculators trying to cash in. Car no.002 was up for £21,950 on another website. From what I have seen cars going for close to purchase price anyhow......

With some dealers in the States selling the GP for $10,000 over invoice, I would not sell mine at a loss.

I met a very nice young MA on MTTS who worked for a dealer who had sold 5 for $10,000 over, and at that time had 2 left for the same price. She stated these facts firmly, with no hesitation.

I would not have sold mine for less than top dollar, if I had not traded it to A/W for a loaded Cabrio and unlimited sex for as long as she owns the GP.

By a couple maybe but most GP's for sale are from speculators.

Could it be that they have heard Wayne Rooney has bought one, and are selling before they are worth the same as a Saxo .
