I am not sure the power upage is huge immediatly, but the better cleaning agents will stop power decrease and ensure smoother running. I notice the difference in my S now i've used v-power for a few weeks

Your wasting your money, use Tesco 99 Ron - you even get clubcard points. Used Vpower and thought it was worse than Optimax - lower fuel economy and did not feel the same even after a few tankfulls. Have run the GP on the Tesco stuff for a few weeks and it feels better than the Vpower ever did. (And its a damn site cheaper.......)

Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team.....

Now...just to disagree slightly. I personally think V-power is a big improvement over Optimax. Admittedly, I haven't tried Tesco's 99 and I haven't compared the mpg of Optimax with V-power, but certainly on the responsiveness side, for me, V-power has more smiles per gallon over Optimax!

I've always run my Works on Optimax and I can't say I've noticed the slightest difference from V power in terms of performance. The only thing I noticed was maybe the last tankfull of V power lasted about 10 miles further than Optimax. But there could be a lot of reasons for that, I doubt whether an oil company is really going to produce a petrol where you get better MPG.

I think maybe too many people are drawn in to the hype about it being developed with Ferrari so it must be better. To be honest I totally forgot I had anything different in the tank from the Optimax I normally have in there!

I use Tesco 99 now, previous Optimax user. I read the long term test that was conducted and posted on Pistonheads and Tesco was better than the rest and I decided to give it a try after I lost about 20 - 40 miles per tank when V Power came out

Switched to Tesco and got my miles back and couldn't notice any discernable difference between the two. Alternated tankfuls for a few weeks, just to make sure and consistantly got less MPG on V Power, was paying more for V Power and was hard to tell the difference between them performance wise. Thought I could tell initially but after I ended up being unsure. I realised that if I was unsure then I obviously couldn't tell the difference.

Tesco 99 for me.

It was acceptable in the 80's
