You should get on with making the lights work instead of partying with laydeez, but then maybe many hands mike lights work

It costs far to much ££££ to do get it done properly, added to the fact that no-one wants to do the job.

If The Doc manages to get it all working properly, I may do it myself (goes off to look for some cheap xenons and awaits further instruction from The Doc....)

I'm still excited about the potential of being able to do this. The GP would be sooooo much nicer for nighttime driving if the MINI xenon headlamps could be installed in place of the stockers.

I bought a set from the same chap, paid alot less as he had a Buy It Now price! However my grin didn't last long. When they arrived they had been damaged, the inner reflective cup was cracked, and the lights had fell off there hinges! sent them back yesterday. Gutted.

Good luck MiniPaul! Let us know how you get on.

The latest on my retro-fit facelift xenons...

Just had a call from my potential supplier - they are confident that they can fit the face-lift xenons.

They have spoken with BMW and conf that the car needs to have sensors in the suspension otherwise it will fail the MOT.

They have also said that you cannot simply stick the xenons in as the wiring on the halogens is far too thin... although it may work for a time, it could be a serious fire risk - so please be careful if you do go down this route.

Looking for a January fitting; will keep you all posted (if you're interested!)

Jay

That wiring thing is strange - I thought the Xenons take LESS current

"They have spoken with BMW and conf that the car needs to have sensors in the suspension otherwise it will fail the MOT."

No, they wont - there is no part of the MOT that requires DYNAMIC LEVELING - it simply states good pattern and not to high...

"They have also said that you cannot simply stick the xenons in as the wiring on the halogens is far too thin... although it may work for a time, it could be a serious fire risk - so please be careful if you do go down this route."

B/S Xenons pull a far LOWER current when running.

Tell your mini man to go back to school - they just talk crap sometimes

Any idea of price please?

No idea of price as of yet... he said that he's investigating it as he wants to do it properly.

Why are the leveling sensors not needed, are they illegal without them?? What about washers?
