They are legal. I got a print out from a UK government website that gives all the legal requirements about them. They have to 1 metre from the rear and front of the car etc.... I keep a copy of it in my glovebox in case I'm pulled over for them. Plus it has passed it's first MoT, so I guess it wouldn't have done if they were illegal.

Ah right cheers Any chance you could put the link up? A quick point - they don't look to be a metre away from the back or is that the maximum distance away?I'd like the back ones red - as you say mikey can help indicate which way you are going ![]() Thanks a lot ![]() The Original MINI One Seven Yorkshire MINI Register - PM for details

received the wires from ANT can vouch for the quality of these! also managed to source the lights from BMW for £6 each so will be picking them up. then just need to find a body shop to cut them into my aero kit now. dont want to risk ballsing it up with the dremel.

wheel arch lights Hi I got this kit and fitted the front wiring in a matter of minutes - all working fine. When I got to the back, removed the rear light and located the grommet to feed the wiring through the body & identified the correct wires to splice the kit into. Problem is I can't seem to find the 'socket' to connect the wiring to the wheel arch light. I've been right under the car etc. .. can I find it? can I 'eckers like! I've dropped a mail to NewMiniStuff on Sunday, but was wondering if any of you have fitted these yourselves and can describe where the socket is, or have a pic?

The connection for the rears is at the bottom of the light fitting. Easy way to get to them is to remove some clips from the wheel arch liner and prise the liner away from the bumper trim. Use a small bit of wood wrapped in cloth to hold the trim out of the way so that you can get your fingers in, use a feeder wire downwards from the grommet and tape yor connector wire to it, pull the cables back up to the light cluster and connect them. Clip the connector to the bulb holder - a bit of a fiddle unless you get the connector the right way round first time. Remove the wood and reclip the arch liner back into place. Job done. In Italy
