Lightbulb GP wheel arch light connection kit

Gp Minis come with the USA style wheel arch lights, but UK spec ones don't light up (they do have bulbs in them).
I now have a kit which comprises of the correct plugs, pins with waterproof seals & a short length of wire all built up ready to plug into your arches. It is then just a matter of running the cables to the nearest sidelight in each corner & spliceing the wires in.
Available here - NewMINIStuff.com
I don't know what the legal aspect of side marker lights are in the UK but I know I have seen later BMWs & Volvos with them

I know Volvo S40's have had orange lights on the side since launch, and there was a big hate for them at first, because people mistook them for indicators at a glance.
Personally, I think they would look cool lit up! And I doubt there will be a problem legally!

Have there been any developments as to whether the kit is legal or not? Just wondered whether the back ones were legal with them being red? I know the fronts are legal, but not too sure about the backs. However I think they look cool lit up, and am considering doing it to mine at some point

I had this done by Mikey on the GP and never had any problems. (Looks fantastic!)

The rear lights are orange just like the fronts and if they were illegal why do so many Volvo's come with them as standard? Another thing to consider is that the factory fit aerokit on the R56 includes these as well and im 99% certain they were illuminated on the loaner I had.

Planning a trip to see Mikey about getting the JCW kitted out with these!

Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team.....
