Erm........... yes so speed bumps need even more caution
.
But on the plus side the conventional tyres have made the ride a bit less jarring and it feels grippier in the dry. Needs a wash now as the country roads from yesterday have left it a bit on the muddy side
I must say that both your GP's look great with your new wheels on . At the recent Guildford - Top Gear Run there were 6 GP's there . And while they all sounded great going round the track, and looked good individually, when they were all parked together they did look very samey. Like peas in a pod almost . But not yours . Bet they both drive better as well .
Are those black OZs ET37? I suppose you have the std GP suspension set-up, i.e. the JCW?
I have been planning to swap my 17" OZ Superturismos (ET40) to graphite grey Ultraleggeras (ET37?) but I am a bit concerned about rubbing. However, my car (MCSW) has standard MCS suspension, perhaps I still would get away with it w/out rubbing...
yep their 37 and there is rubbling but only if i go over a speed bump too quickly. I trimmed theinside of the back arches and it seem'd to help. I got no rubbing at all at the track day. Though if i bought again, i would only buy the recommended ET cause i feel that i can really see the 2mm difference and it kinda bugs me...
You could always by the Crystal Silver Ultraleggera's which come in ET44, and get them powder coated to the colour you want. I run 17" ultraleggera's with ET44 offset and get know rubbing at all.
Interesting...any idea how much do one has to pay for this powder coating...and are there some specialized shops that do this or would any pro paint shop be able to do it?
