Hi All....
Well I was browsing through MINI2 as I havent been back here and saw replies to a post I posted back middle of last year and I dont think I have been abck since. This was the post:

So just wanted to say thank you and give those of you still around who knew/know me a brief update.
I eventually parted company with my beloved
JCW MCS in December of 2006 and managed to scrape together 13k for it....so considering I was after 18k I realise with the new model available the bottom did kinda fall out of super tuned premium Minis but we all knew it would happen but it was fun while it lasted!
In January I moved to Dubai on a kinda inter-family-business transfer to work for our coffee company over here whcih I didnt mind one bit! The place is amazing, the weather is awesome and the cars are out of this world!
More importantly, the roads are fantastic, up to 8 lanes either side of the road with 75mph speed limits....and not that I encourage speeding but the system out here is just fines of about 30 quid and no point system. They tried a points system but everyone would have lost their license so the abolished it.
So, the car....anyone who remembers me knows I am a keen modd'er but also a warranty worrier but this time, brand new car and lets do it!!!
So the car is an Infinity G35.
Now Infinity, for those who dont know, is under the Nissan group, it is basically as Lexus is to Toyota, Infinity is to Nissan. It is also badged as the Skyline G350 coupe back in the UK and is based on the same chassis and engine as the 350Z. So we are talking about 290hp and plenty of mods available for it.....
So the mods....I am going for a new exhaust system, a new cold air intake, new ignition coil and sparks, new intake plenum and spacer as well as de-cat pipes as there are no emission laws and regulations over here. Also for handling gonna have front and back sway bars fitted and strut brace in the front. Coupled with full window tints, an upgrade to the Bose in car audio with a new Kenwood multimedia monitor as well as twin amps and a twin 12" sub setup in the boot.
So for a start.....I think that should do it. I dont know what sort of power improvements these will add but they will help the engine breathe a lot better as well as get the gases out a lot easier at the other end!!
I will post some pics when I get this stuff done if anyone is interested. I know it is not MINI related but rest assured faithful MINI2 community, it will be Works GP for me when I get back to the UK!!
Cheers to all and happy, safe, motoring!
Jones!
