JCW Cash Repair or Claim on Insurance?

Hi everyone,

Bad news i'm afraid. My MCS JCW is awaiting the estimator at the body shop. (Nobody injured and no other car involved btw) I would urgently like to know if it's worth paying out to repair it, rather than log my second fault claim in 3 years. (i'm 26 and have built up 2 yrs no-claims) I can't get any quotes on the Internet for premiums [after entering what my situation would be if I did claim again]. I would really appreciate it if anyone around my age driving a JCW or GP, with 2 fault claims in the last 3 years, would be willing to disclose their insurance premiums, so I can get an idea for how much this is likely to affect my insurance over the next few years? Any other advice gratefully received, as I am a complete mess at the mo.

I'm just about to get my JCW. Sorry to hear about your accident, glad to hear that you're okay.

One of the lads in our office got a rough quote for the car I'll be receiving, he's had a couple of bumps and is in his mid-late 20's with an SP30 fine. He was looking at around £1,800/year.

You could try getting a quote from Adrian Flux. It will probably by a lot of cash, but probably less than the cost of repair to your MINI. Front-end repairs do tend to be expensive on MINI's due to the front panel frequently needing replacement.
