United-Kingdom Blow out...

Hi all,

I have just returned from taking my GP0316 on its first little trip around Europe, Found some fantastic roads and had a great time.

Apart from with BMW mini dealers!

We were driving through the Champagne region of France when we had a blow out in the front left, The tyre blew a 6 inch hole in the joint between the side wall and the tread of the tyre. I was wondering if anyone has had any problems like this before on Dunlops?

Any how, on getting to the BMW dealer in Epernay, who appeared to have no clue what a GP was we were told that they couldn't possibly get an 18inch run flat. With a lot of bad french we eventually managed to track one down on next day delivery, but oh my god! The cost was incredible compared to here in th UK.

I was wondering if there are any french owners of GP's who struggle with the dealers over there or if you think they may have seen me coming and put the price up, as it was double the uk price!

Well the Gp was fantastic as always, just dissapointed with the international BMW service.

I am surprise with this french tyres services. Here you can get an 18 inch tyre for £165-175 pounds each, over there, £330-350 pounds each!?
