United-States I finally found a back rest for the Mini that works!

http://www.backdesigns.com/AB1921000...Product_ID=186

I have tried them all. The closest thing was the Obus (w/inflatable lumbar support) and the optional bottom but it was bulky, moved around a bit, and didn't treat the weak spot in my back - low, low. McCarty's new 2000 ain't cheap but what price do you put on comfort. I am really happy with this product. No, I have no business interest in McCarty, just a back sufferer with an 04 Mini passing on info. I know there are others out there in the same spot. Plus, the 2000 fits the Mini's sport seat like a glove, almost as if it was designed for it. I got mine in black to match my Mini's charcoal leatherette. Hope this info is useful. It would be a shame to have such a neat car and not be comfortable driving it.

2005 MCS: Dark silver/black top, Panther black leather, Combo #4 Convenience, Combo #3 Cold Weather, Combo #1 Premium, Septronic AUTOMATIC, DSC, PDC, front and rear fogs, Xenons, HK Sound, Bluetooth

A very individual thing...

Seating comfort must be a very individual thing. The first time I sat in a Mini with sport seats, I felt like the seat had been custom made for me! I had low-back pain after extended driving in my BMW 323i wagon, but it's gone with the Mini. I'm sorry it doesn't fit your back as well, and glad you found a solution.
