| DRIVER | February 22 or 23 -- Daytona Beach, FL I am planning a get together for this weekend and am currently negotiating with some contacts to find a meeting place. I figure we can gather for lunch in Daytona and go for a cruise through the loop (Highbridge Rd.) afterward. At the end of the drive (ending in Ormond Beach), I figure we could go for a cruise down the beach then over to a waterhose and rinse off our babies! I am currently working on a rinse spot also! =) Who's interested? |

Offline | I might be able to make this one. Let me know the details as it goes along. But do remember that the Spring event is only two weeks after this date. So you might be competing for peoples weekends. |

| DRIVER | February 22 at the Picnic Basket in Holly Hill. It is at my father's office Building, 1501 Ridgewood Ave (US1). They normally aren't open, and the rest of the building isn't really occupied on the weekends so we will have the place to ourselves. It is in a good location for us to go on our cruise and stick together. If you haven't heard of the loop, it is a beautiful drive around the Tomoka River Basin area (Tomoka State Park, Volusia/Flagler County line) then a drive through Ormond Beach and the North Peninsula area on A1A. From there we would get on the beach at the Granada Blvd. (SR 40) ramp and cruise down the beach into Daytona. It might get a little busy once we start heading south, but I've done this before in High School with a bunch of lowriders. I have yet to call the Picnic Basket, but I know they would be interested in catering to us. I'd say lets meet at the Picnic Basket at 1130. If for some reason this location falls through, I will make arrangements with another establishment in the area. Happy Motoring!! minimotorin - I would rather have this earlier, but there are redneck races in Daytona on prior weekends which would make traveling from Orlando to almost anywhere close to me a pain in the neck. I figure this would be our February fix and Spring Thing would be our March fix. |

Offline | That area is very scenic and would be a very nice drive. I did a rally there several years ago (in a Mini!) and have ridden it on a bicycle several times as well (MS150 route uses it). It's worth the trip. Bobbie Martin 2003 MINI Cooper 1963 Mini Cooper |

| DRIVER | I need to know how many people to expect for this trip. The restaurant is going to be open for us on a day they normally wouldn't. If the turnout is going to be big, it would help them a lot if I knew what you guys want to eat. I have a menu, and if by Monday we have a large potential turnout, I'll post it. So, who is going next Saturday? xxTHIR13ENxx minimotorin bobbiemartin (maybe) terrapin Pebble (maybe) HollyRN76 (maybe) aperez49 (maybe) MikeBrinson Last edited by Electrc109 : Feb 14th, 2003 at 02:39 AM. |

Offline | Lot of these folks are in the maybe column. You might want to reconsider having the restaurant open just for us. When I hosted my event there were several folks that did not come that had said they would, if that happens here you could end up with onlt 2 or 3 cars and that might **** off the owner of the establishment. Just my 2 cents. |
