Over the 6 months after my MCS BRG/WHT comes at the end of April I wll be making 3 major road trips (and a few shorter ones in New England)
To the South East including Florida... To the South West including New Mexico and Southern Cal.... and to the Pacific North West to suss out my future retirement home location.

Each trip will be about 6 weeks long and will involove a Lot of exploration incliding house hunting and Also checking out the MINI social scene and Dealer support in each short listed area.

The first will be to Florida departing in early May Via the Blue Ridge Parkway checking out some spots in VA, NC SC and GA on the way.

I expect to be in Florida for the last part of May and the first week in June. (I need to be back in New England by the 15th to make it to the MNIs on Top on the 19th)

On my list right now is the new town of Celebration south of Orlando and the Fort Myres Naples Area.

How is MINI Service and MINI Social doings in those areas? and are there other MINI friendly areas I should add to my list?...

I will have my email and laptop and I would enjoy meeting any of you for a drink and/or to talk MINI as well

and lastly any MINI doings while I am down there that would be safe for a 'Damm Yankee' to attend

come over to www.sunshineminis.org and meet the FL crowd. There is a very active group in the Orlando area, they are called MOO (MINIS of Orlando).

If you like Disney, you will love Celebration (though Disney just sold it). You might check out Palencia just north of St. Augustine. It has the same concept of Celebration but is in the start stage of development.

Thanks for the tip on Palencia an I was wondering where all the FL folks were... not quite as much activity in this section as in the New England one
