Offline | Hello Florida I'll be staying in Orlando and then Sarasota for a couple of weeks wef March 26th. Wouldn't mind a wander around a dealership to see how USA specs differ to the UK. Any advice? ![]() R56 AB Cooper |

Offline | Stephen, come over to www.sunshineminis.org and talk to the MOO folks (Minis of Orlando). That's the local club. I'm sure they would love to offer advice or meet up with you. |

Offline | In Orlando of course there's Downtown MINI. It's kinda' neat how they put a car dealership inside an office building. The only drawbacks are not many cars to see and parking is a pain! When I visited them a couple of weeks ago there was no parking left in their lot so I had to park in the street on a meter. The closest dealer to Sarasota is Ferman MINI in Palm Harbor. It's around 70 miles north of Sarasota. They have a nice showroom and usually have lots of cars in stock. To get there from Sarasota you also get to go over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge which can be spectacular. Other pluses are that you are just across the bay from some of the attractions in Tampa like Busch Gardens and International Mall. The drawback is the drive can be a bit of a pain, especially during rush hour. It Tampa, you'll see a bunch of MINI's buzzing around. Not quite so many in Orlando. In Sarasota you will see some, although the local BMW dealership seems a bit hostile toward them. And I appear to be the only MINI owner in North Port, a bit south of Sarasota. Offline | I was at Downtown Mini today and they had tons of cars. The showroom was packed full with Mini's parked in places I have never seen before. The back parking lot was also full of Minis. Might be a great time to go check out the Dealership. Don't know about during the week, but on the weekend there is additional parking across the street (Jefferson) and behind the Mini lot. My car should be delivered around the 21st. Jerry |

Offline | I have no idea what the chili pack has. The sport package has the following... Sport Seats Sport Suspension 17"Runflat tires Xenon headlampswith washers Bonnet stripes Might have missed something but basically, my Mini has every option offered here except the cold stuff (Heated seats & mirrors) and the backing sonar thing. I also didn't get the JCW stuff. I will post pics when it comes in. Should be at the VPC in Charleston today. Jerry |
