Just came home from a holiday which included a visit to John Cooper Works for my classic Mini.

Apparently the S Works should produce 210 bhp, that is the latest report. There are two S Works cars around, one that Mike drives and one currently being tested by BMW. But they still wouldn't give away anything about torque figures.

Regarding the Montoya 240 bhp Mini, he´s supposed to parade in front of the Goodwood house during th Festival Of Speed in a few weeks time. That is when it will be delivered. A big promo event for Mini/BMW supposedly.
JCW said they would give the car 240 bhp as Montoya "obviously wasn't concerned about either warranty or cost."

Also drove the Cooper Works, good fun but not as powerful as I thought.

anyone know if this 240bhp special happened now goodwood has past?

Wow! 240bhp MINI!!! With standard engine! That would be amazing. I don't think it did get parraded though.
