| MINI2 Regular | Effect of new models on current models resale value Hi All, Anyone wondering out there what the launch of the 2007 Mini model will do to the resale value of pre 2007 model Mini's? I'm wondering wether the resale prices will show a sudden drop or wether they'll stay at an even keel. Having browsed the images of the new Mini and the reactions to it I'm wondering if it will be as appealing to buyers. Features like the new interiour and head unit seem to put poeple off, where as the speculation over engines seems likely to be a big decission making point. If poeple don't like the interiour will it make for better prices on the old models? And if the engines turn out to be the mutts nutts will it reduce resale prices? What do you guys n gals think? |

Offline | Ive seen the interior, not to my liking seems to gimiky, but you can never be sure about 'leaked' secret pictures, more interested in the engine though, the turbo i suspect will be smoother than the current unit which in my example is a bit lumpy, but does work effectively, i think resale values will drop, but the supercharger has a kudos of it's own which should keep demand high, therefore should level off?? |

Offline | I'm not sure why anyone would care in the first place. If you like the current models, then go for it. If you like what the next-generation has for you, go for it. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | The reason I care is because I want to know if my car is worth getting rid of early or waiting and trading in for a post 2007 model once all the bugs are ironed out. I'm still on a Cooper, so I really fancy upping to a 2005 or 2006 Cooper S after the 2007 has been launched and hopefully getting everything I want!!!! ![]() |
