Offline | I just wish they'd hurry up and anounce wether it'll have more than 218BHP (from what i've heard; it's quite likely); which will determine wether I should cut my losses with my GP or not!! ![]() GPower.......pop..pop..pop |

Offline | I'm tempted by the Civic new type R due in Jan 2007. After 2 Works I'm far from bored but ready for a change. Plus not a great lover of the changes for the R56, outside is OK but that Speedo/centre console looks, as someone already said " Fisher Price". IMO of course. I can't see the R56 Works coming out for at least 6 months, possibly 12. Look how longer it took for the original Works to be released after the S, must have been nearly 2 years, wasn't it? There is a lot of road testing to put it through for warranty reasons, but I think there will be a lot less delay this time as it going to be more of a new model, as opposed to bolt on extras. |

| Nice TTs......... | I'm not bored either, maybe just impatient, cos I'm ready to change just now I still think September 07 will be release date Thats a long wait for me though, with an 04 car ![]() For me, I actually have more problem with the exterior, specifically the frontal aspect, than the interior ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | For me, I actually have more problem with the exterior, specifically the frontal aspect, than the interior [/quote]Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not enamoured with the external changes either, in the flesh they are not maybe as pronounced as they appear in photo's. I drive past a dealership everyday and the showroom is full of R56's, at first glance you don't even notice that they are different. I bet you if I took Mr Joe public and stood him across the otherside of the road from a R56 and a R53 and asked him to "tell me what was different" he would be hard pushed to find the changes, until he started looking a bit harder. Unfortunately or fortunately we all know what they are already and instantaneously go straight to them and look at them critically in comparison to what we have, so we are starting from a bias viewpoint. The major loss is the Supercharger of course. If you ever had the chance to feather the throttle on a Works car @ 4500rpm in 6 gear, just as the flap on the airbox is opening and closing you can get some magical noises as it sings away to you Going back to the original topic, I don't think they will have specific colours for Works cars, as it is going to reduce your market if you tell people they can only have it in one or two colours. But there again I think Ford did it with it the Focus ST. |

Offline | was thinking the same myself so much last night, but maybe it was the kind of day I had, and a few words or wisdom have convinced me to order a MCS now for ASAP. At the end of the day, the JCW will be about another year, and in that time we could have been having more MINI fun in a new car ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

| Giggity-goo! | I'm happy for it to be 18 months for it to come out, that way I'll be 25 and able to insure one for less than it costs to fly half way around the world first class. I think it will have more than the GP's 218BHP, but whether or not it would count as much against the GP's low fat body I don't know. Besides its not all about power, extra torque would be welcomed. With regard to colour options? If it receives a face lift over the R56, plus a limited edition aero kit, and shed loads of extra torque/power..... it could be vomit coloured and I would buy one. ![]() |

Offline | would look great, classy, but not exactly sporty, maybe thats more like the white silver colour? Burnt metalic orange would make a great JCW car ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |
