Offline | Of course! When I go to IKEA with my MCSC I leave the top down and fill the rearseats up as if it was a pickup truck. There's huge carrying capacity. ![]() If you know how many MINIs you have you don't have enough ... |

| Mini Mad | Found some more pics with less disguise Hello all, Been a long time after I sadly had to get rid of my MCSC because the bank, my business and my finances sadly took it away ... oh well life goes on.I found some more pics with less disguises on. Unfortunately as you will see in the pictures they have failed to include indicators in the side mirrors. this will at least help you get a better idea. Hope these have not already been posted somewhere here. Keep well all. Jay I Love my Mini |

| What mid-life crisis? | Nice pictures - many thanks! Sadly, there does not seem to be much new about the Cabrio - no facelift, no LED tail lights either ![]() I wonder if there will be any more/special colours? Anyone any idea what the two disguised areas low in the rear bumper might be? Ian |

Offline | Has anyone else noticed that the rollover hoops seem to have gone, not visible from the back window. Maybe this is due to the complaints about rear visibility. Also, I'm sure I read somewehere that there were plans for a pop-up roll bar on this version. |

Offline | Don't get too excited. If you look at the top part of the rear window, you can see on all three rear photos there looks to be a bar that dips down slightly in the middle. I think that they have probably got round the visibility problem by making the bar not dip right down in the middle and making the headrests lower, so you actually see through it now. ![]() |

| What mid-life crisis? | Thanks for that - some great pictures (maybe the best quality yet?) However, it doesn't look like much of a "facelift" from the outside ![]() And impossible to see if there are indeed pop-up roll bars insteed of the piece of bent steel in the current model..... Apart from that, the roof and window arrangement look remarkably similar to the R52? Ian PS - Why wait - place your order now, JaysToy! |

Offline | Why change a winning design just because it's a new model year? Improvments in mpg, hp, safety, cool options, yay - I'm all for that - especially if one improvement is indeed theincreased visibility, but it's the retro look that has us all drooling... How often were there major redesigns in the original car that these "imitate"? I adore my '06. Only new "feature" that would make me trade it in is - getting a brand new shiny warranty!! ...............................T somewhere near Candlewood LakeChili Red/White CooperS Ragtop, formerly Chili Red/White MCS ! |

Online | It depends on how you count revisions of the original Mini. The body had 4 significant face-lifts (officially 5 or 6, I think, but I can only count 4 major "looks" - and not counting all the official countryman/van/traveller/pickup/cabrio variants). The engine remained the venerable A-series engine from start to finish (and as a design it was over ten years old before the first Mini was produced). It too received some fairly significant changes - starting out as a 750cc unit with a single carburettor, and finishing as a 1275cc electronically-managed fuel injected unit. The gearboxes too went from a non-syncho 3 speed to an (optional) 5-speed. Suspension changed from damped rubber "springs", to air-sprung, and back to rubber springs. Windows started out as slide-to-open, and finished being hand-wound. There were many, many changes of trim and spec, by no means all of it coinciding with body or engine changes. Some changes were brought about by production issues, some reliability, some by marketplace demands. Relatively few were because of legislation changes - though with modern cars, a revision will often be in responce to new regulations. |
