Maybe has an indicator built into the wing mirror, if so it's about time.

Oh dear - looks like the rear visibility will be as compromised as the current model - I was hoping they might have worked out how to improve this aspect.....but I'm not cancelling my order!

Interesting but it looks just how the current convertible does against the R53, as it would on the R56. Little disappointing they haven't come up with a newer design?!

Because theres a big plastic panel over the boot lid. Look closer, and you can see the external hinges at the bottom of the boot door, again, hidden by the plastic panel.

the rear screen looks like plastic - it could well be this isn't the finished roof, or its likely the roof itself has been disguised

Because if they didnt 'disguise' stuff, people would barely notice the car, then there wouldnt be spy shots of the car generating 'interest' for the prospective buyers....

All hype. But should be a good car.

It would not be beyond a half-decent designer to create hinges that are hidden/recessed when the door is shut - just like in my kitchen!

So is there actually any good reason to have external hinges?

In addition to matching the old Mini boot hinges it also means that there is no space taken up INSIDE the boot with internal hinges and so it gives you more luggage space in the boot.

The roof has been disquised to hide the wear marks!

Seriously though, did anybody notice that the boot has the same "lines" as the outgoing model instead of the large hips of the R56?
