Offline | Funny thing is, that photoshop job was banded around as the 'clubman' but it's far more like the 'countryman' mini than the squared off clubman. Looks stupid too. |

Offline | Yes, it seems the Clubman name is being used in reference to only the classic Mini Clubman Estate, ignoring the saloon model. Here's a Clubman Estate: + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |

Offline | Clubman Estate This is yet another future MINI variant that I would be very interested about, even more so than the rumored 5 door MINI. I have been following developments at the 2002 Paris Autoshow, but it appears to be that BMW/MINI will not be showcasing any new MINI prototypes during this event. I guess we will have to wait for NAIAS 2003 in Detroit next year to see if MINI has some new model unveilings in the works. I think a MINI "Wagon" would be very, very cool. It would be the perfect compliment for those of us who already own the current 3 door MINI hatchback. The Cabriolet and Pick-up variants are interesting but I personally don't find them very appealing because of passenger room limitations. MINIUSA: Please make a MINI Estate varianr...I would be the first one in line to put a deposit... '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | Not real keen on the "Clubman". Looks like an East German product. ![]() But I think a MINI Estate (wagon) could be interesting. There's the commercial market to consider (delivery vehicles, etc), as well as people who just want more room to carry their stuff. Chip H. ex-MINI Cooper S owner and all around good-guy |

Offline | I agree. My wife really likes the Cooper and is talking about getting one in a few years when we replace the Subaru wagon, but we'd still need a "dog hauler" car. A MINI Estate might just fit the bill. |

Offline | I haven't yet received my MCS, but would think very seriously about a Mini Wagon... whatever it's called. I once had a Triumph Herald Station Wagon. I loved that car. I was in Air Force in Turkey & bought it from a guy who had been stationed in England. It carried me, my wife, my mother (who was visiting) and my infant son, diaper bags, and luggage. I never had a car that was so much fun and so under powered. I Mini would be so much better. |

Offline | I wish MINI were going to offer this lovely wagon for sale here in the US soon. Me likely! I really dig it. This MINI wagon would be the perfect addition to our Cooper. Imagine this baby with the Supercharged engine? Hmmmmmmmmm sweeet! I like the double doors in the tailgate. Looks like a MINI-Suburban ![]() '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | I don't like the barn doors (I have had the Suburban with both, and the lift gate is infinetly superior in convenience). I also don't like moving the wheels back and lengthening the rear window glass. Looks like a mini-limo. I'd keep the rear wheels in basically the same location, and add a bit more rear overhang. Perhaps put in a C-pillar with a small window for the expanded cargo area, but still with the continuous one-piece wrap-around glass look. That'd be my perfect MINIwagon. Oh yeah, I like Woodie Wagons. But not fake ones like my dad's 70s Chrysler, and not on modern MINIs! Offline | Hmmmm, well the original Mini clubman estate of the 1960's had rear dutch doors instead of a liftgate. For me I prefer the dutch doors and if MINI ever produces a modern rendition of the classic clubman estate I would expect them to keep this design trait. Enlarging the body behind the rear wheels? That's too weird for me. I prefer a longer wheelbase to improve rear seat legroom as well as cargo room. '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

![]() MINI2 Master | That would have been Russet Brown, after the variety of apple, part of an exciting colour range offered by the then British Leyland, Or was it Austin Morris, or maybe Jaguar Rover Triumph???. Sandglow was a baby poo colour, not brown, not yellow, ugh., I seem to remember also Pageant Blue, Inca Yellow, any more ??. As for the Clubman, its a good idea, 4 good seats + ability to include larger objects, 2 doors at the back, or a dual tailgate, lower half folds down, glass folds up, Sounds equally good to me. A winner |
