When will AutoExpress ever learn? Or should we please there's still some entertainers out there who don't get bogged down with things like facts and genuine insider information? I can really see the logic in the "Monte" having a less powerful diesel unit than the standard MINI too.

Sorry, but the amount of drivel AutoExpress has spouted over the years really gets my goat, especially as many "average punters" don't know to take their stuff with a packet of salt.

Calm down, Paul! There's also going to be a more powerful diesel for the flagship model (apparently!) - I guess they'll call this The Fool Monte?

Point is, why offer a lower powered diesel than the already super-efficiently well received 1.6 litre model on what is supposed to be the "go anywhere" MINI. I trust their reports and sources just about as much as I'd trust a mad old drunken fortune teller.

Have to say I’m a mini fan but the Triumph caught my eye more! That looks a fantastic car. Can wait to see one on the road someday. BMW built and it looks a winner.

oh a the new Mini looks nice as well - five doors........get my vote.

Ah yes - a Triumph (misty-eyed memories of my first ever car - what a rust-bucket that was!)
So if it's in AutoExcess it must be true then? I don't think so!

Well BMW didn’t buy the Name for nothing, enough said really…..they don’t do nostalgia.

Hey every original Mini I knew was a rust Bucket…..and loved every minute of them……cars not smelling of oil and leaded petrol its just not right!

Back on track........

AutoExcess claim this is the mule for the new BMW X1 SUV. But maybe it's actually for the new MINI SAV?

Thank **** for Mr Cooper!

I would really, really, like that to be true. The thing I don't understand though is wasn't the Cooper Works "with GP kit" built in Italy?

You go Paul!

It has to be the biggest source of misinformation and fantasy since Comical Ali They remind me of the "supermarket tabloids" that they kept reading in the Men in Black films.
