| Change Is Not Good! | the problem these days it that it'll have to meet costing requirements & be able to put down the same line as the main cars, so i'd only really expect something like the Seven/ Parklane & Checkmate with an exclusive colour & maybe some trim changes |

Offline | I'd like to see an "Ultra" Limited edition in tiny (50 would be a good choice! )numbers and then a more "Mass Market" version like the previous SE cars which could slot in with normal production. Rover didn't bother with too much custom work for the anniversary models either just colour/trim variations and a few badges but the limited production runs kept them desirable. |

Offline | People forget now that the cars were not called Minis when introduced in 1959, those sold through Austin dealers were AUSTIN SE7ENS and through Morris dealers MORRIS MINI-MINORS, meaning a mini-sized MORRIS MINOR. It was some time later when they were just referred to as Minis and it must have been at least 30 years later when MINI became a brand on its own...I'm sure some of you will advise accordingly. So can someone work out when the 25th Anniversary of MINI being a stand-alone brand will be, or has that date passed already? |

Offline | I know what you mean, that a good point. But I think you should if your a fan of the Classic Mini. they do for other car manufactures that don't exisit anymore. They still have kept manufacture at longbridge and kept the John Cooper name. And the 1st gen cars where developed by Rover as BMW had never setup a FWD car before. And it was going to be a Rover car until BMW sold them. ![]() |
