Bit like the Moke, Van, Pickup, Estate, Saloon of the original (classic) Mini, they want MINI to be a range of cars, not just one vehicle, and I completely agree with the principle. They've just to get it right!

unless they make it look like an overweight fat version of the moke like the new mini is to the old, it'll look awefull and outof place. like the panda 4x4!!

but the mini is called mini because in the late 50's there was an oil crisis and britian needed a cheep affordable car for the masses, now really that isnt what the bmw one is, is it!!!!

yeah not really bmw's are they, they are owned by the bmw group, it is still its own brand!!!
just like the proper mini was part of the rover group, the money comes from them but its a lone brand. nobody say's i own a general motors astra do they!!!!!
