Offline | I don't think Autocar puts it's content online. If you go to www.autocarmagazine.com there's a teaser site for the magazine and an email 'club' but I can't see any content. |

Offline | Is this magazine sold in the US? I will head over to Barnes & Nobles during lunch to see if they carry it in their magazine stand. '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | Went to Barnes & Nobles and checked the latest Edition of Autocar magazine ($5.95 a copy) for Dec 11th. I did not see any pics or articles making reference to the upcoming MINI variants. In which edition date did you see the article? Probably we don't have that magazine yet in the States. If anyone care to scan and post some pics, that would be appreciated. Offline | CooperS is right... you'll need the 18/25th December edition of Autocar. I don't think the magazine is widely sold in the states - and sorry, but I don't have a scanner, so someone else will have to oblige on that one....... ![]() |

Offline | Thanks I suspected so. The magazine is sold in small quantities in Barnes & Nobles book stores here in the US. The magazine sells at $5.95 per copy which is rather pricey for a car magazine. Anyway, the most current edition available when I checked yesterday was Dec 11th. I will check back on the weekend to see if Dec 18th is already available on their magazine stand. '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | Many thanks to Shamster for sharing the MINI MK Traveller and roadster pics!!! Me likely the 5 door wagon pictured a lot. I was wondering how the designers could work around the problem of adding 2 rear doors without messing up the overall design and clean looks of the car. They did a masterful job in that interpretation IMO. I love the rear "dead" opening doors (Open the opposite way) and the rear double "dutch" doors used in the boot instead of the current single piece hatchback door. Too bad, MINI will not release it until late 2006 but I am seriously looking forward to it and hope that MINI realizes that there is a market of young families with children that would love to have all the current attributes found in the current MINI, in a more practical, family oriented package. The article says the MINI "Traveller" wagon (Codenamed MK2) will be a bit wider and taller than the current car, but much of the current styling will be retained (Thanks!). It is also likely that the Wagon will offer the first BMW-Peugeot PSA joint venture engines as well. The Traveller duals as a 5 door hatch back or a wagon, really nice concept. I wish MINI had put priority to this variant instead of the rather silly Convertible/Roadster models that will be coming up real soon, but I guess they do envision a good market opportunity there. MINI, C'mmon let's make the traveller a reality way before 2006....I want one NOW! ![]() '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | Hey davenott5, If you have a photo of future varients just scan it and post it. It does not have to be the best pic. People are driving themselves nuts trying to find a web site with pics. Thanks Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | I bought the mag last night, they are all (in my profesional opinion) not too impressive photoshop jobs of old press photographs. One of them (the red cabrio mock-up) has been on here before. In fact, I am afraid I found the entire thing VERY vague and all the usual 'an insider said' said. Ah well, I am sure MINI don't mind all the extra hype and rumours. Paul |

Offline | I am not sure that I would buy any other varients of the mini other than what I have already have. Cabrio, not interested. Wagon, not interested. If I wanted a wagon or a Van I would of kept my Ford Explorer. Charles. BRG/W MCS |
