Any hints or rumors...

...about a MINI Clubman?

Soft top's are cool (atleast in decent weather) and Works certainly will add adrenaline to the mix.

Please no flames for blasphemy here but I'd still like to see something a wee bit longer in the rear (read cargo) capacity; not enough to dampen the spirit mind you, but taking enough gear for a week's (sparse) camping would be nice.

Driving my '03 S now for almost 9 (20+ K miles!) months, I've learned how & what to pack & I can still see out the inside rear view mirror.

A MINI Estate S would be tolerable, since I've just found out the wife is expecting and the extra storage would be nice for the pram, pushchair, cot, nappies, clothes, toys etc etc etc etc...... Would need wipe clean seats though!

Dont want to get rid of the Cooper for a Zafira

SPClark...
hello from another fellow chi-town motorer!
i'm happy with the size of the cooper now, but i don't have to carry anything in the car other than my wife and my little dog! i bet after the MINI cabrio comes out, they will have a 4 door model out in the next year or two. hold tight, we'll all be ready for new MINI's by then anyway right???

At least your wife doesn't think your MINI is TOO small, like mine! My dog doesn't care a whit as long as he's invited along.

Considering the rate I'm racking 'em up, YES! But I'd rather have three doors & a longer back end than five doors at once, if only for the added weight.

I seen you around yet? My S's White/Yellow, I commute on the Kennedy/Northwest daily....

when I did my first test drive of the MCS, the 6'2" salesman sat at the rear. My newphew and I were very impressed. He is trading in his Honda soon.....

A workmate has a freind that installs the line electrical components at the Oxford MINI factory, and he has just confirmed that they are installing "an extra bit" at the end of the line to enable an Estate version to be built! He thought it was going to be named the Clubman, but wasn't sure.

He has also heard about a pick-up in late 2006!

Yellow Cooper Made My Day!

Well R1 that's great news indeed!

I just crossed 65,000 mile mark yesterday with my '03S & am excited there might be a MINImax in our/my future.

Certainly a pickup would be suited to the same production line a new, improved Clubman would be constructed upon, if the current wheelbase were to be extended.

Nothing like "having a friend at the factory" to provide insider info, is there? Unless it's having a forum like this where news other goodies can be shared!

Thanks for putting your post up for reading; now I feel like I did the day I heard BMW was going to re-introduce the Mini to the US market!
