Any idea when this will be available to order for a UK Cooper? Indi Blue is just too dark. It's supposed to be on the 04 model which starts in sept, but I was wondering when it would be available to order (July/August)? Does anyone have any info?

I think Cobalt blue will look like sort of a Raspberry color....should be very interesting if done right.

I am also waiting to hear more news about the rumoured Orange Metallic.

Did you see the US promo mini's in Auto Express? One was in Orange, done out as the General Lee in Dukes of Hazard! The other was in Chili Red with a Starsky and Hutch stripe. Cool.

I have postacards of those two MINIs, along with one painted a la the Partridge Family van, and one of the Evil Kneivel MINI. I posted pictures of them in one of the forums awhile back, but I think the links are probably broken now because I've changed ISPs.

Shark Blue is not really Cobalt Blue, or Candy Blue (see my gallery for the latter). It is a slightly more purply blue (non metallic).

Just had a look at your gallery Paul, that blue is wkd! Where 'bouts did you see that? Is this the blue that's rumoured to be available come Sept?

That's Candy Blue, it's a colour I've seen a few times, those photo's are at the factory.

No, it's not the Shark Blue that's coming soon....

You don't know of any threads/links so i can see the Shark Blue do ya? Having a real colour choosing dilema at the mo so any more colours i can see may help!

There are no genuine photo's of it on the web I've seen yet.

we saw 2 of those candy blues during the factory visit last week. The tour guide was very cagey about them & said they were "special" cars that the engineers use. I reckon they're a pair of early test mules. One of them looked like it was being used as part of a fire safety training session.

Shark Blue is now Cool Blue (met) and will be a Convertible only colour.

I don't know, some coworkers of mine got me the postcards on a vacation to San Francisco. I don't know where they got it from, but I imagine checking a MINI dealer would be a good first step

I still have the scanned pic, I might be able to email it to you or something, or maybe even stick it in a personal gallery here on MINI2 if I get a chance, as I don't really have any webspace to post it anymore.
