Offline | 5 door mini According to Auto express today: "An official MINI drop-top plus a five-door hatch version will debut at September's Paris Motor Show. " any ideas (or pics) what the 5 door will look like? Does anyone care? |

Offline | They have taken this from the fact that during the speaches (and possibly also mentioned at Geneva) it was confirmed that MINI designers are working on a convertable (no confirmation on hard or soft top) and a 'MINI with more room'. Make of that what you will, you can see what Auto Express have made of it. ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | The passengers are revolting! My kids aged 5 and 8 are at present happy with the limited space in the back of the MINI. In 3 years time they will be struggling . I would welcome a more roomy MINI then. You can call it a BMW "?" series or whatever if you don't want to call it a MINI. I guess if you expand it in all directions you could make it a 6 seater with 2 rows of 3 like a MULTIPLA! ![]() |

Offline | good to hear that too little ones are happy in the back. That means I don't have to consider looking for a larger car that will bore me to death for at least 8 yrs. The first is only 8 months old. As for the name, I'm kind of happy that the Mini isn't branded as a BMW. I like the mini name / look because it brings back fond memories but I would be happy enough whatever the name as long as that smile stays hooked round the top of my ears. I can't help thinking that any extra doors would ruin the look..... and I'm not sure how they will pull off the estate version either.... just have to wait n see what turns up I suppose |

Offline | Mini Estate I am not for a four door mini. However, a 3 door estate would be wonderful. Extend the length of the car by another 18 or so inches to give more leg room all around and more space in the boot. Or you could extend a few more inches to put in a third row.
