the roof looks really weird on that shot... too much of a bulge... yup hopefully mr. bangle is not at work here again.

I think the bulge is snow piled up on the roof

AFAIK, suicide doors are those that hinge at the rear of the door, rather than the front edge, like the rear "doors" in the Mazda RX-8. Why you would want these on a MINI though........

He is referring to the rear door on the new clubman model that is going into production sometime in the future. No suicide doors on the regular MINI Cooper. See the article on motoringfile.com for a picture.

It appears to have 2" of snow on it, rather than any kind of "bulge".
The nose definitely has a mask on it, covering the details. There are much better pics of the front posted in the Future Variants forum.

Looks like covers on the front and the back to hide the true shape of the new MINI. Check out the front/rear lights. They are sunk and covered. Here is a spy shot of the new interior from Motoring file.

What is a "clubman" and will it have 4 doors? suicide doors are awesome, see the early-mid 60's model lincoln continental for evidence

Have you noticed they are old style head and tail lights? Interesting they've gone back to that style unless these models we're simply made before the '05 facelift, hence the new headlights wouldn't of been available.

I think the bulge is caused by all the covering up, looks like a beetle from the front but luckily it's just the covering thats had that effect!

I'd like to know what "clubman" means as well? thanks..

I heard tat there is a possibility of interchangable roofs... as there is considerable cost involved in painting the roof seperate to the body. This might be a reason for the bulge - it is hiding something

There is also alot of snow on the roof too though

The interchangeable roof would be great... red today, blue tomorrow, black the next, UJ the week later... it could be like a mood ring for your mini

Hmm,

These spy shots look a litle suspect, looks like a normal mini to me, the bit on the front is just padding, you can see the original headlights underneath. I should think these are from the ORIGINAL development of the car, as why would BMW work on a new model BEFORE the facelift is out?

They're just development mules for the next generation, like almost all photos that aren't faked, they wont show you the design of the car, they're not that stupid, they know these snappers get everywhere with their lenses.
