Bad information and bad fake photo I'm afraid. The Clubman variant will arrive a lot sooner than most people seem to expect, and wont be called the "MINI Break", that's just made up.

Paul, What is the current thinking on when the Clubman will arrive? I am sure that there must be an accurate thread on it somewhere, but there is also a lot of misleading photoshop fantasy (Copyright Autoexpress). Please can you direct me to a thread that looks real?

I don't think I've seen a more realistic/accurate thread yet.

From what I think I know at the moment, I'd say it will come at at the same time, or very soon after, the hatchback. It's the Cabrio people are going to have to wait for (2008).

I shall be hanging onto my Cooper for the next few years, but if a Clubman arrives in about 2007 that would be ideal! Giving them another year to get the bugs ironed out, Roo will be 9 and by then the back of the Cooper may be getting a bit small!

Now all we need is a new Cooper S Clubman and everyone in the "Winnie gang" will be happy.

If the new Cabrio is scheduled for 2008, does that mean the new (2007model year) hatch and the old Cabrio will be built alongside each other? And does that imply that the floorplan of the new hatch isn't changing from the current model?

Pass. I've just seen a few things to suggest that the MINIs will arrive in the second half of next year (as expected), but the cabrio wont appear until probably 2nd half of 2008.
