Lightbulb Mini Moke 2 ??? ( Please !!?)

Hello,
I've had big cars, lots of cylinders and horsepower, but one of cars with which I had the most fun was the Moke.
It drove like a great toy, and is the reason I bought my MINI.

The other reason the Moke was special was this: no doors or windows, lots of air, felt as free as a motorcycle, but... still a fabric roof to protect from the sun. This beats any convertible I've owned, including an Aston.

I would hope someone can replicate this open air feel with sun protection. Only other similar cars that I enjoyed were the Mehari ( Citroen) and the the Rodeo ( Renault). All of these are OLD, will liabilty concerns kill any chance for an "encore" ??

love to hear if there's hope,
all the best

Great idea, but expect crash testing and other joy-killing crap like that to prevent it... Maybe you could take an angle grinder to it

Mini Moke 2

Hi Dom,
Actually, might not be so far fetched?
As I look out at my car, I imagine in five years there will be a pool of used minis to be had.
So 2 ways to go:
1- al cheapo: remove doors and install strap or chain, take sunroof out and install a tarp, chop hatch, remove rear windows and ... voila! or
2- (more money!)I think mokes are still built in Portugal. How hard would it be to adapt their design to the new Mini. Maybe sell it as a kit, to get around liabiity concerns?
Biggest improvement would be 16 inch wheels, I can lose a Moke in a single pot hole where I live!

Cheers !

That looks a lot like a Domino Kit car made from a classic mini
