Offline | Future All Wheel Drive MINI I had an interesting conversation with a well known and knowledgable Mini/MINI expert today. No, I will not name him as I gave my word. He told me that he was approached by BMW/MINI to consult about future MINI models. He said "mark my words" an All Wheel Drive MINI mule is already built and being tested. Their goal is a winning World Ralley team. I told him I sure would like it if my S had the awd and horsepower of the Subaru WRX and he claims that is MINI's intention. He laughed off the "M" rumor, but was dead serious about the above awd and 200+ hp version. Where do I put my deposit down? Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

Offline | I have had the previlege of owning a number of nice and quick cars, and honestly nothing has given me more of a rush than my just traded 225hp TT Quattro. Being an AWD car it has this incredible ability to shoot out of a corner with no loss of traction, and is even more fun in the wet. A Mini AWD with 200+hp will just be PERFECT for me. I will definitely buy that!!! I will put my name down for one now if my dealer allows me to. Any mention of dates? I will have my Cooper S on 2 year lease, so maybe the timing is just perfect. |

Offline | Nope,no mention of dates, cost, etc. I think I caught "my source" when he just happened to have a bout of verbal diarrhea I would assume that the MINI dealer sales reps don't know anything either. I mean, just look at what they don't know now! I'm seriously considering trying to convince my dealer to take a $500- deposit with the receipt to read "First right of refusal on future MINI models" with no expiration date. Offline | I'd really love if Mini came out with a Diesel that has around 134hp and 300Nm. Sort of a performance Diesel but still capable of 40MPG. Include AWD and all of the colour choices of the MC and MCS. This would be great direction to go. ![]() |

Offline | Unfortunately I will never be able to afford a Mini but if I happen to fall into a huge pile of cash I'd go with BRG - let's just say I wouldn't be choosing Blue. ![]() |

Offline | Yeah, But.....to be competitive on the WRC circuit they would need at least 300 HP to go with the AWD. Now that would be interesting!!!!! ![]() Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!! '06 MCS SB/S '02 MCS DS/W (retired) |
