You need to order the $250 optional multi-function steering wheel to get cruise control.

Canada Up here it is

In Canada it is standard on the Cooper S for 2006. It automatically comes with the MFSW, so you get the radio buttons as a bonus.

Actually, there are quite a few things that are standard in Canada and not in the US. Xenons being one of them (you can delete the Xenons by buying the less expensive version of the MINI Cooper called the Cooper Classic). I guess for 06, cruise control also. I suppose the Canadian market is not big enough to customer configure absolutely everything so here, they come in 3 or 4 standard packages and then you can add additional options.

hmmm... That bites, I was hedging my bets on it being standard, just on a stalk, not the steering wheel.

Another $250 into my configured MINI

Canada spec MCS's also include heated spray nozzles on the Xenons and heated wing mirrors as a standard. Heated seats is optional.
