Well last week i booked my car into the MINI garage to have a few bits done to it today. I wanted new wheels, black viper stripes, 2 spots and red mirror caps. Took it to the garage last night and sorted out the last minute details, made sure that everything was ready for it to be done today. Had also arranged for them to bring it back to me this evening as I wouldnn't be able to pick it up because I wasn't given a loan car. Came home like most people, started to get really excited!

Any way, just as I was leaving work today, I phoned home to see if they knew any thing more about my car and this is what I was told:

They had fitted the new wheels and the spots but they had "forgotton" that I had asked for viper stripes so those weren't done!

They had also ordered 2 right hand door mirror caps - didn't think MINIs came with 2 right hand ones

any way i was then told that they had already fitted one of them!

so i now have a red one and a black one! why would any one do that? if you don't have both, why put one on??

they also forgot that they would be bringing my car home this evening! How was i meant to pick it up?

stupid people!

They said they can get it in next Tuesday so I can get the rest done, but they've been told to pick up my car Monday evening and supply me with a loan car and then bring it back Tuesday evening!

Any way, rant over, thought I'd share that and also show you a few piccys. the first are of how the car was before it went away and the other of what it currently looks like! notice the odd mirror caps!

Looking good

. Perhaps the mix and match mirror caps will take off

. When I had my aero side skirts fitted the dealer also ordered two right-hand ones

Dealers, same no matter where you go........

Its a great improvement Becca, will look great with the vipers........

lol, no...though I made the dealer take off the one aero skirt...just couldn't handle driving with one standard skirt and one aero

. The wait was worth it and will be for you too

nope... took the s in for a replacement boot handle 2nd time round, went to collect it to be told they hadn't done it, a bit of a rant, arranged another time, goes to mini to discover they have done it

service depts & sense don't seem to mix

LOL! What a bunch of dumbasses! lol! I have a full aero kit, s-spokes and cooper s spoiler fitted while i was on holiday. They picked it up while I was away and when I got back it was there waiting.

well its finally finished!

got the car back this evening looking oh so good!

and for all the trouble they put me through i got a MINI cushion and a MINI bag where the pic of the cooper on the front looks like a jigsaw!

any way, here is what my car now looks like!
