We're a bit slow, but we get there eventually I'd say I use less fuel, but that's not true (i'm hungry)

While OK, the Mini's results are not outstanding. Compared to the VW Lupo, similar in size to the Mini, but an older and lighter design.

Front
Mini 10
Lupo 12

Side
Mini 14
Lupo 14

Also, changes had to be made to the Mini's airbag sensors and side impact beams. Does anyone know when these changes were introduced?

You could argue that Lab Tests don't mirror real life, but hey they have to start somewhere.

NCAP will be including assessments of active safety soon - ABS, handling, steering, seating, traction control, EBD, bonnet stripes, tinted windows and MINI2 stickers. Hopefully the MINI will score highly.

What is shocking is the pedestrian score for the Range Rover @ 6%! At least I'd rather be hit by a MINI.

Slightly off topic:
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has the MINI on their list of cars to be tested.

I'd have to agree with that, give me the choice of being hit by a Range Rover or a MINI, I think I'd choose the MINI too

Don't know a date for this, but I'm sure someone else can find out!

I can't load that video, I'll try later. The details of the test are here. The test is at 40mph (64km/h).

Uh-oh, looks like the dummy's head struck the window frame. That's gotta hurt.
