Mileage

Would i be foolish to by a mini with 75k miles on the clock. Im not a high mileage driver probably around 6000 per year. Is there anything that has been discovered about higher mileage mins. It seems to have most options and is up for £8500 thats a 52 plater.

I WANT A MINI
Went to a dealer today but they sold the one i was after this morning dam, but got to drive mums back, yeah, then discovered this one.

Shouldn't have too many problems-I guess it will have a few rattles!
Check for a good service history and whilst test driving all electrics work-then you shouldn't have any problems with it

dont get it, way too many miles for its age. I have to say aswell that for a car with 75k miles, the price is ridiculously high. It's an unwise buy, don't worry though, there are tonnes of minis on the second hand market, you'll definitely find a better deal

Price seems a bit high, but, probably motorway miles as opposed to round town, which are much much less harmful.

You'll get a much better deal if you look around, with a normal mileage on it.

I think the price is high because it seems to have every extra in the book, auto aircon, cruise control, leather seats etc..

at the end of the day tho its only 2 and a bit years old so probably mainly motorway miles. it probably will be in no worse mechanical nic than a 30-40k round town one.

however theres no escaping that it is very expensive for such a mileage and there are tonnes of used one out there at the moment

One thing to do

When picking up a 52 plate

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS

Try getting in and out of the back a few times from both sides.

Make sure that you run the seats forwards and backwards at all adjustments and then, when the airbag light comes on - which it will!!!, ask for the wiring to be checked out and sorted if it hasn't already been done.

Good luck with your purchase!
