Now that we have narrowed the field to two colors (see previous post), what does everyone
think about...

Hood (bonnet) stripes... painted or stick on? Factory or after market?
Tint - Can it be ordered from the factory, didn't see it on the site.
Xenon - Is it worth it?
Alarm system - Pre-wired? Get Mini's system? State side after market?

Most "required" option or what should you have gotten when you ordered?

Working my way past 24K

Need to get this baby on order!

I would go with factory stick-on bonnet stripes because if you dont like them, you can always take them off.

I dont know if tint can be ordered from the factory, but i strongly recommend dark tint.

I have bi-xenon lights on my BMW and they are definitely worth it.

I dont have an alarm...I dont think that they are necessary on newer cars with microchips and all...i just like the chirp noise..

Hood = Yes! Get the factory stickers for the bonnet. They won't screw it up (installation is not as easy as you'd think).
Tint = Don't believe this is a factory option. At least not here, anyway. I still haven't gotten around to the tint shop. I just like seeing my yellow dash from the outside.
Xenon = Yes! So worth it. They're incredible.
Alarm system = Do you live in a high crime area? It would be great if someone could get the actual stats on this, but I don't believe MINIs are big targets for theft in the US (knock on wood), although quite a few people here have reported vandalism and theft in the UK.
