170,000 smiles .......

.we had a customer come in last week with a cooper who wanted used exhaust manifold, when we asked him why did he want it, he said that the cat had started rattling after 170,000 miles

HAS ANYONE DONE MORE MILES THAN THIS

Bought a new mini last year (04)plate and just clocked 85000 miles today pretty much trouble free. The plan is to let it go to 200000 then buy new again - if it lasts but no reason why not if looked after.

No problem. It also gets a serious amount of abuse (Driving Instructor) still original clutch and gearbox.

One D. Chilli red, bonet stripes and 5 spokes. Bought the D as I knew it would be high millege - 1000 a week min. But Cooper S clutch (reinforced) So it stood up to the job so far. Shouldn't have opted for the runflats though - only getting 14 - 15 K out of the fronts and just put 3rd set on rear this week.
