| Bad Dog, Moderator | Not covered in the FAQ so... "S" is on the way (waiting for transport). Have not seen an answer to this question anywhere. Can I fit 15 x 6.5 wheels with a 195/60-15 winter tire on the "S"? The tirerack.com web page does not show the 15" tires for the "S", just for the Cooper. I'm thinking a set of takeoff rims from a Cooper with Blizzaks or another winter tire. Comments/suggestions are appreciated. Chili Red / Black Roof Cooper "S", delivered Aug 5, 2002. Offline | Yes, Cooper and S use the same setup (brakes are the same) so 15" wheels will work well for winter. We are going to use 185/65-15 snow tyres. TireRack does have good prices-as low as $95-$99/wheel for some15" wheels that look decent. Which is less then any MINI wheel I think...Jet Black MCS Lapis leather 17s or 15s (winter) no DSC |

| Bad Dog, Moderator | Now I'm thinking cheap steel wheels... like off a Honda (I think they are 4 X 100). My only concern is if the backspacing would be right. Could get a set from a junkyard for $50 and spray paint them black. Low budget, can't see spending a lot of money on something thats going to be covered with roadsalt constantly.
